This is how Little Simz starts her second verse in “I Love You, I Hate You”. The track, which is particularly intimate, was one of the standouts of Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, the British-Nigerian artist’s fourth critically-acclaimed studio album. Following the release of the song’s official video, Simz has now dedicated a full short film to the subject, allowing her to delve deeper in her memories of abandonment and her childhood trauma.
Created by Little Simz with writer Caroline Adeyemi, the film features Simz alongside Shaniqua Okwok, C.J. Beckford, and Sonia Ajuwa.
